When you need to concentrate, the last thing you want is your phone ringing. Focus mode tells Safina to pick up every single call, not just the ones you miss or decline. You stay in your zone. Callers still get a professional response.
What Focus Mode Does
Normally, Safina only answers calls that you decline, miss, or that go unanswered after a few rings. Focus mode changes that: every incoming call is forwarded to Safina immediately, without your phone ringing at all.
You still get a push notification and summary for every call Safina handles, so nothing slips through. But you choose when to check those summaries instead of being interrupted in real time.
How to Enable Focus Mode
- Open the Safina app on your phone.
- Go to the Safina AI tab.
- Toggle Focus Mode on.
That’s it. All calls now go straight to Safina. When you’re done with your focused work, toggle it off and your phone rings normally again.
When to Use Focus Mode
Focus mode is useful in situations like:
- Deep work sessions where context-switching is costly (writing, coding, designing)
- Client meetings where you don’t want your phone buzzing on the table
- Surgeries or patient consultations in medical practices
- Court appearances for lawyers
- On-site work for tradespeople who can’t safely answer a phone
- After hours when you want to disconnect but still catch urgent calls via Safina summaries
Focus Mode vs. Do Not Disturb
Your phone’s built-in Do Not Disturb (DND) silences notifications but doesn’t forward calls to Safina. Callers just hear ringing or get sent to your carrier’s voicemail.
Safina’s focus mode is different: calls are actively forwarded, answered, and summarized. The caller has a real conversation with your AI assistant instead of hearing dead air or a generic voicemail greeting.
You can combine both features. Turn on DND to silence Safina’s push notifications while in focus mode, then review all call summaries at once when you’re ready.
Reviewing Calls After a Focus Session
After you turn off focus mode, open the Safina app to review your call list. Each call shows:
- Caller name and number (if available)
- Call duration and time
- Summary of what the caller wanted
- Risk assessment (trustworthy, suspicious, or dangerous)
- Action items and next steps
You can call people back directly from the summary, add them as contacts, or dismiss spam calls.
