Why Setup Is Only Available Through the Web App
You may have noticed that you can see the additional minutes in your mobile app but can’t activate them there. There’s a simple reason for this: Apple and Google’s app stores impose very restrictive requirements on startups like us for flexible billing models and also charge high fees on every transaction.
To offer you fair per-minute pricing without this “store surcharge,” we’ve decided to handle pay-as-you-go billing exclusively through our web app. This gives us full control over the cost structure, and we pass that benefit directly on to you.

Step by Step: How to Activate Additional Minutes
Setup takes just a few moments and is done centrally through your browser:

Log In to the Web App
Sign in at app.safina.ai with your account credentials.

Select the Section
Navigate to “Safina” in the sidebar menu.

Start Activation
Click on the “Additional Minutes” field and toggle the switch for “Enable pay-as-you-go billing”.

Set Your Limit
Define how much you’d like to spend additionally at most. You can conveniently set the limit in euros or minutes.

Enter Payment Details
In the final step, enter your payment details for billing via Stripe (e.g., SEPA direct debit or credit card).
Cost Control and Notifications
To prevent unplanned expenses, Safina uses a transparent limit system. You’ll be proactively informed so there are no surprises:
- 90% Warning: When you’ve used 90% of your set limit, you’ll receive an email notification.
- 100% Stop: Once the limit is fully reached, we’ll notify you again. To protect your budget, Safina automatically stops the service and won’t make calls beyond the limit.
You can adjust, increase, or completely deactivate this limit at any time in the web app.
