The Most Important Tip: Router or Provider Portal?
There are fundamentally two main places where you can set up call forwarding: directly on your router or in the online customer portal of your internet provider (e.g., Telekom or Vodafone).
We have a clear recommendation for you to ensure maximum reliability:
Our Recommendation: If your provider supports it, set up the forwarding in the provider’s online portal. The advantage: this so-called “network-side” forwarding works even when your router at home happens to be turned off or experiencing an outage. This guarantees the best possible availability for Safina.
What You Should Have Ready
Before you start, have the following items at hand:
- The login credentials for your router (often found on a sticker on the back).
- If applicable, the login credentials for your internet provider’s online portal.
- Your personal Safina number, which you can find in the “Safina AI” tab in your app.
Setup Methods at a Glance
Here we briefly describe the two most common processes. You’ll find the detailed click-by-click instructions in the linked articles from the table above.
Method 1: Setup Directly on the Router (e.g., Fritz!Box)
This method is ideal if you want to manage all settings directly on your own device.
- Log in: Sign in to your router’s web interface through your browser (e.g., at http://fritz.box).
- Find the menu item: Navigate to the “Telephony” section and then to “Call Handling” or “Call Forwarding.”
- Create a rule: Set up a new rule and define when (e.g., “when busy” or “after 20 seconds”) and where (your Safina number) the call should be forwarded.

Method 2: Setup in the Provider’s Online Portal (e.g., Telekom)
This method is particularly reliable and is recommended for Telekom and Vodafone customers.
- Log in: Sign in to your provider’s customer center with your credentials.
- Find the menu item: Navigate to the section for your telephony settings (often called “Telephony Center”).
- Create a rule: Select the phone number, set the condition (e.g., “forward when no answer”), and enter your Safina number as the destination.

The Quick Alternative: Setup via Key Codes
For technically inclined users, there’s often a third option: setup via control codes entered directly on your landline phone (e.g., 21DESTINATION_NUMBER#). Detailed lists of these codes can also be found in the specific guides for your provider.
Your Office Is Now Reachable Around the Clock
Regardless of which method you choose, once set up, your landline calls will be reliably handed off to Safina. This ensures that no inquiry goes unanswered.
