Why Zapier + Safina?
Safina captures structured data from every call: name, phone number, reason for calling, urgency, summary. That data sits in the Safina app, ready for you. But what if you want it forwarded to other tools automatically?
That is what the Zapier integration does. Safina sends a webhook signal to Zapier as soon as a call ends. Zapier takes over and executes whatever action you have defined, in any of over 6,000 connected apps.
No Code Required
Zapier is a no-code platform. You click together what should happen. No reading API documentation, no parsing JSON, no hiring a developer.
6,000+ Apps
Google Sheets, Pipedrive, HubSpot, Slack, Trello, Notion, Asana, Calendly, Twilio, Gmail: the list is nearly endless. If you use a tool, Zapier probably has a connector for it.
Ready in Minutes
The connection takes under 5 minutes to set up. You need a Zapier account and a Safina account on the Pro plan or above.
Setup in 5 Steps
Step 1: Create a Zap
Log into Zapier and click “Create Zap.” A Zap is an automation consisting of a trigger (the event that starts it) and one or more actions (what happens next).
Step 2: Choose Webhooks by Zapier as the Trigger
Select “Webhooks by Zapier” as the trigger app, then choose “Catch Hook.” Zapier generates a unique webhook URL. Copy this URL.
Step 3: Add the Webhook URL in Safina
Open the Safina app, go to Settings > Integrations > Webhooks. Add a new webhook URL and paste the Zapier URL. Select call.ended as the trigger event. Optionally, add authentication via Bearer Token or API Key for security.
Step 4: Choose Your Action App
Back in Zapier: select the app that should receive the data (for example Google Sheets, Pipedrive, or Slack). Map the fields from the Safina webhook (caller name, phone number, summary, etc.) to the fields in the target app.
Step 5: Test and Activate
Click “Test” in Zapier. Safina sends a test webhook. Verify the data arrives correctly and the mapping is right. If everything checks out, turn the Zap on.
Done. From now on, all call data is forwarded automatically.
4 Practical Zap Examples
1. Log Call Data to Google Sheets Automatically
Trigger: Safina Webhook (call.ended)
Action: Google Sheets, Add new row
After every call, a new row appears in your spreadsheet: date, time, caller name, phone number, reason for calling, urgency level. You get an automatic call log without ever entering data manually. Ideal for freelancers who want to stay on top of their calls.
2. Create a Pipedrive Deal + Send a Slack Message
Trigger: Safina Webhook (call.ended)
Action 1: Pipedrive, Create deal
Action 2: Slack, Post message to channel
A potential client calls. Safina captures the details. Zapier automatically creates a new deal in Pipedrive with all the relevant information and simultaneously notifies your team via Slack: “New lead: Sarah Chen, kitchen renovation quote, high urgency.” No lead slips through the cracks.
3. Forward Appointment Request + Send Confirmation Email
Trigger: Safina Webhook (call.ended)
Action 1: Calendly, Create event
Action 2: Gmail, Send confirmation email
A caller requests an appointment. Safina captures their preferred time. Zapier creates a Calendly event and sends the caller an automatic confirmation email. That saves you the callback for straightforward scheduling requests.
4. Follow Up on Missed Calls via SMS
Trigger: Safina Webhook (call.ended)
Action: Twilio, Send SMS
Someone calls, but you could not return the call right away. Zapier sends an automatic SMS to the caller: “Thanks for calling ABC Plumbing. We will get back to you within 2 hours.” That prevents the caller from moving on to a competitor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Zapier account?
Yes. You need your own Zapier account. You can start with the free plan, which includes 100 tasks per month. One task equals one executed action (for example, one Google Sheets row created after a call).
Which Zapier plans work with Safina?
All of them. The free plan works for simple single-action Zaps. For multi-step Zaps (for example, creating a Pipedrive deal AND sending a Slack message), you need at least the Zapier Starter plan.
Can I have multiple Zaps for different scenarios?
Yes. You can create as many Zaps as you want using the same Safina webhook URL. Or you can create multiple webhooks in Safina for different events (for example, one for call.ended and one for summary.data_query_result). Each webhook can trigger its own Zap.
What data does Safina send to Zapier?
Safina sends structured JSON data via the webhook: caller name, phone number, call duration, summary, detected urgency, timestamp, and additional metadata. In Zapier, you can map each individual field to the target fields in your action app.
Do I need a Safina Pro plan for Zapier?
Yes. Webhooks are available on the Pro ($29.99/month) and Business ($69.99/month) plans. The Basic plan does not include webhook access.
