Do you want to save entire conversations as audio files? Learn how to activate call recording in Safina and what legal considerations you need to keep in mind (including automatic consent).

Sometimes the tone says more than a thousand words. While a transcript captures the content of a conversation, an audio recording provides the full context – including nuances, mood, and speaking speed.
Safina offers you the opportunity to record entire conversations as audio files. This feature is particularly useful for training purposes, quality assurance, or complex issues where every detail matters.
Important Legal Notice: Consent is Crucial
Before we proceed to activation, one important point needs to be clarified: the legal aspect. In Germany and the EU, it is legally required (GDPR) that you obtain the explicit consent of all parties involved before recording a conversation.
The good news: You don't have to worry about it yourself.
We have integrated the solution directly into Safina, so you can be on the legal safe side.
Once you activate the recording, Safina will automatically provide a clear notice at the beginning of each conversation.
This notice might say: "Please note that this conversation is being recorded. By continuing the conversation, you consent to the recording."
If the function is disabled, this sentence will of course not be said.
How to Activate Call Recording
The setting is completed with just a few clicks.
Step 1: Navigate to the Configuration Tab
Open your Safina app and go to the central settings area, the tab "Safina AI".

Step 2: Find the Recording Setting
Scroll through the list of configuration options until you see the section "Recording" or "Audio Recordings of Calls".

Step 3: Activate the Function
Here you will find a simple switch. Flip it to activate call recording.
That’s all. From this moment, Safina will obtain consent and record conversations for you.
Where Can I Find the Recordings?
The audio files are not a separate log but are integrated directly into the respective call summary.
When you open a recorded call in your list, you can find the recording there as a playable audio file – just like a voice message that you can listen to directly.
For more about the structure of the summary, you can find it here: Call summaries in Safina.
The Full Context for Your Conversations
The recording feature gives you a complete picture of your phone conversations. Use it to enhance your service and capture important details while Safina takes care of the necessary legal protection.
