Import and manage contacts in Safina
Learn how to import your address book into the Safina app. This way, you will see the caller's name directly in the call log and can better associate interactions.
A phone number is anonymous – a name gives it context. So that you can immediately see in your call list who was trying to reach you, you can import your address book into Safina.
This small step makes your overview much more personal and makes the categorization of inquiries much easier. We’ll show you how it works.
Import Your Contacts in 3 Steps
The import is only possible via the mobile Safina app on your smartphone (iOS or Android), as it accesses your local address book from there.
Step 1: Navigate to the Contacts Tab
Open the Safina app on your smartphone and select the tab "Contacts" in the bottom menu bar.
Step 2: Start the Import
You will now see a prominent button labeled "Import Contacts" or an appropriate symbol.
Tap on this button.
Your smartphone will now ask for permission for Safina to access your contacts. This is a standard security prompt from your operating system.
A note on data protection: We take the protection of your data very seriously. The access is solely for the purpose of loading the names and numbers into your Safina app so that they can be displayed there.
Step 3: Confirm and Complete the Import
Once you have granted permission, the import will start. After a few moments, you will see your complete contact list directly in the app. The process is thus completed.
What Benefits Does the Contact List Bring You?
Importing your contacts offers you two clear advantages in everyday life:
Direct Name Display: The biggest advantage is that in your "Calls" overview, you will no longer see just a number, but the name stored with you will be displayed. This way, you always know immediately who called.
Basis for Exceptions: The contact list is the basis for defining exceptions for Safina. You can determine for each individual contact whether Safina should accept calls for this person or not. We’ll explain more about this in the next article.

You see, with just a few clicks, you create a much better overview and a more personal management of your calls. Your imported contacts are, of course, synchronized on all devices where you use Safina.
